Apple Mouse Pie

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

TGIF and the weekend is almost here!  For today's post, I am using a new release stamp from the Winter/Fall Fun Collection.  To add a little excitement to this all, I decided to use this month's sketch... See below for details, on how you could WIN some adorable High Hopes Stamps of your very own!!!

This is Apple Mouse Pie (SS024).  Such a super cute image!

To start, I used a piece of watercolour paper and a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour the main image, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, glossy accents were applied on the mouse's nose. The image was cut using a MFT - Cross-Stitched Square die.  To layer the image a piece of SU Going Gray cardstock was used.

For the card base, I decided on a piece of SU Going Gray cardstock. The designer papers are from Kaisercraft - Old Mac 6 1/2" Paper.  A strip of SU Cherry Cobbler cardstock was added behind the main image, along with a white piece of cardstock that I used a SU Edger Punch to create the loops on the edges.  On top of the punched white strip, I added a SU Basic Gray Ribbon.  An MFT-Trac Tag Die was used to cut the tag that was also run through the Cuttlebug machine using the Swiss Dot Embossing Folder.  A White Ribbon was then tied in a bow and placed with a glue dot on the top of the tag.
